Are We There Yet?

Did you ever take a long car trip when you were younger? If so, you may remember that it seemed to take FOREVER to reach your destination! Like most other kids, you may have kept asking, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

A lot of people do this when working with the Law of Attraction too! They spend time each day visualizing, scripting, saying affirmations, creating vision boards and using other manifestation techniques, and they keep looking at their outer circumstances to see if anything has changed.

Is my abundance here yet? Is my soul mate here yet? Is my dream home here yet? Why is this taking so long?!

The problem is, the more you focus on impatience and frustration because the things you want aren't showing up yet, the longer it's going to take! You'll be broadcasting a message of "I don't have what I want" to the universe, so you'll keep attracting more and more experiences of not having what you want.

"Well, I DON'T have what I want; how am I supposed to broadcast a different message so I can finally attract what I want?!"

There are several ways to do it, but here are two of my favorites:

1) Pretend you already have it.
There is a TON of power in pretending! When you pretend, you actually broadcast the signal to the universe as if what you are thinking and feeling is REAL. So, if you were to spend time pretending that you had all of the money you desire, you actually communicate that to the universe as a FACT. The universe then starts returning more and more experiences of having plenty of money. Keep in mind that this is not usually instant - it does take awhile for the frequency to become stable within you. But in a matter of days, and especially a few weeks, you can make DRAMATIC progress just by pretending that you already have what you want.

2) Distract yourself.

Another good option is to just keep distracting yourself from the temptation to focus on impatience and frustration. Good distractions are any activities that make you feel good. You can spend time engaging in hobbies you enjoy, go out dancing, watch a funny movie, play outside with your kids or pets - anything that takes your mind off the fact that you don't yet have the things you really want. Again, this may take a little time to fully work, but it's not impossible to see some progress in a few days to a few weeks.

No matter how you do it, you have to stop "watching and waiting" for your heart's desires to show up because that just prolongs their arrival. Instead, move yourself into the mental and emotional state of already having them (or being happy despite their absence). That will make them arrive much more quickly and easily.

TODAY'S LAW OF ATTRACTION QUOTE:
""Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called." - A.A. Milne

LAW OF ATTRACTION TIP: THE PRUNING SHEARS OF REVISION

In "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, there is a technique she mentions called "The Pruning Shears of Revision." (pg. 73) This came from a lecture given by Neville Goddard in 1954.

The process involves thinking through the events of the day before you go to sleep, and if any events did not go the way you wanted, you should replay them in your mind and change the ending to one that makes you happy.

Rhonda Byrne says about this process, "As you recreate those events in your mind exactly as you want, you are cleaning up your frequency from the day and you are emitting a new signal and frequency for tomorrow. You have intentionally created new pictures for your future. It is never too late to change the pictures."

Can you sense the power in this type of exercise? Can you feel the excitement and satisfaction it would generate? If you really are the creator of your own life, your creative inspiration has just been given a huge boost in power.
Have fun with it. :-)

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION:

I choose to FEEL as if I already have what I want.
